The Bikefisher AI Policy
Jared Kukura

It seems AI is everywhere all of a sudden, and I feel it’s important that this site has clearly defined boundaries. AI sucks. It’s a scourge on society.
Let’s get one thing clear from the start: AI isn’t intelligent. For instance, ChatGPT doesn’t think for itself when you ask it a question. At best, it searches a database of stolen work and posts a summary for you. Just as likely, though, it tells you whatever its billionaire Nazi owner wants you to think.
I hate that AI steals from workers. I encourage every worker to stand in solidarity and reject this attempt to impoverish us. I understand that many workers lack class consciousness, but there are plenty of other reasons to hate AI.
AI consumes an extraordinary amount of energy. AI companies recommission obsolete coal power plants and create their own private power sources. AI energy demands worsen climate change and increase energy costs for workers.
Workers who live near AI data centers suffer the worst environmental consequences. Data centers destroy clean groundwater and create nauseating noise and vibrations.
AI companies don’t actually make any money. But if you’re American, the government takes money from your paychecks and sends it directly into AI billionaires’ bank accounts.
This is a quid pro quo, though. Billionaires steal your money and, in return, the US government uses AI software to bomb Iranian children and surveil American workers.
I can go on and on about why I hate AI. I want this site to be as human-centered as possible. I hope you feel the same.
